The Verdict

What clients say after move-in day.

Reviews aggregated across Google, HomeStars, Houzz, and BBB. We do not curate — every review from the last decade is publicly visible on those platforms.

Ecowoods refinished our 100-year-old red oak floors and they look better than I imagined possible. The dust control was unreal — we never had to leave the house.

Rosedale · Full Refinish
They moved our furniture, protected the kitchen, finished a day early, and the bill matched the estimate to the penny. Will hire again for the basement.

Custom inlay around our fireplace, walnut on oak. Came out exactly right the first install. Master craftsmen, no other word for it.

Straight Answers

The four questions everyone asks.

Yes — fixed, in writing, in your contract. Our senior estimator moisture-tests your subfloor and inspects conditions during the free consultation, so there are no "unforeseen conditions" to surprise you later. The number on paper is the number on your invoice.
Yes. Our dust containment captures roughly 99.7% of airborne particulate at the source using HEPA-sealed Festool and Bona Atomic systems. Most refinishing clients sleep at home every night of the job, and our water-based finishes are low-odour and walk-on ready in 2–4 hours.
Your finishes and materials carry their manufacturer warranties — typically 25–35 years on finish, up to 50 years structural — and we pass every one through to you in writing, itemized in your contract. If anything in our workmanship isn't right, we come back and make it right. No runaround.
A standard 1,000–1,500 sq ft installation takes 5 to 7 working days: moisture testing and acclimation, installation, then sanding, staining, and finishing. Refinishing is typically 3–5 days. Your written estimate includes a committed schedule.
Straight Answer

What it costs. Before you call.

Every other Toronto floor company makes you book a visit to hear a number. Here’s the range up front — the exact price is fixed in writing at your free in-home estimate, and it never moves after that.

Screen & Recoat

Refresh a floor that’s still sound

$2–3/ sq ft

A light abrasion and a fresh topcoat. No full sand — right when the finish is worn but the wood underneath is healthy. Extends the floor 3–5 years.

Best forFloors under ~10 years with surface wear only

Premium & Hardwood Install

New floors or specialty finishes

$from 8/ sq ft

New wide-plank hardwood, oil finishes like Rubio Monocoat, custom stain matching, stairs and repairs. Priced per project after we see the space.

Best forNew installs, oil finishes, stairs, board repair
A typical 1,000 sq ft main floor runs about $4,500–$7,000, finished in 3–5 days start to furniture back in place.

What moves the number: floor condition, stairs, species hardness, a light-to-dark colour change, and board repairs. We walk every one of these with you on-site — no surprises, no change orders. That’s what “fixed price in writing” means.
